Performance Psychology

Support to level up in your sport

We can work tirelessly to get the technical and physical aspects of our performance near perfect. But what holds us back from taking our game to the next level is … you know it, our mind.

Working on our psychological fitness is as important as the physical. An understanding of the dynamic relationship between our thoughts, emotions and actions enables us to make more effective decisions, increase our confidence, and continue to perform at a high level, especially when the stakes are raised.

I am an athlete at heart – I love tennis, golf, hockey, swimming, netball, and cross country, and my Honours thesis studied the psychological factors involved in mental toughness. Having played international tennis on the junior circuit, I am familiar with the challenges of performing at a consistently high level. I know what it takes to improve your mental game: thus complementing, and enhancing, your physical game.

This is what I do: I work with athletes to develop psychological skills that they can use – on and off the course, court or oval – to improve their performance, learn from every game, and really enjoy participation in their sport.

P.S. Take a look at these tools for mental performance.
