Exercise: floor under feet
Research shows that by placing your attention on one part of the body can improve physical stability and mental equanimity.
Try this exercise:
Sit or stand in one place, feel your feet on the floor
Closee your eyes. Become aware of all the sensations in your feet. The feel of your heels, toes, sides of the feet touching the floor. Feel the air, is it cool, warm, or neutral?
hat other sensations can you feel? Swaying left to right, energy moving up from the earth and down into the ground? Where is there more or less pressure?
Take a deep breath.
Do you feel the point of equal balance? You are fully in your body.
Doing this exercise before hitting a shot can help quieten the mind and reduce anxiety. It allows your body to balance and perform motor movements more effectively.
